Oldham Athletic’s top goalscorer Sam Surridge has been recalled by his parent club AFC Bournemouth, confirmed by the club website.

The youngster has scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Sam Surridge has been vital for Latics this season, and is a serious contender for the best frontman in League Two.

Premiership side AFC Bournemouth would like Oldham Athletic loanee Sam Surridge to play League One football, following impressive performances in League Two and Bradford City are interested in signing him.

This would be the second time Bradford City have taken Oldham Athletic’s top goalscorer. In the summer, Bradford City signed Eoin Doyle from Preston North End, last season he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Latics.
About Sam Surridge –
Surridge is highly rated by his parent club having been at there since the age of 14.
Sam Surridge has gained plenty of first team experience over the past year, having played for the first team in pre-season and enjoying a loan spell with Yeovil Town.
The striker enjoyed a full season of first team football in 2017/18, when he signed for the Glovers in August last year.
Not only did he managed to make 53 appearances and score 10 goals as well as six assists, the forward played against Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup at Huish Park.
Wimborne-raised Surridge played locally for Bournemouth Sports and scored plenty of goals in the Bournemouth youth team, having joined the club as a 14-year-old.
Surridge also gained first team experience with Poole Town where he was in prolific form during the 2016/17 season.
